Question:
Good food to bring camping?

My aunt, my sisters, and I are going on another camping trip next weekend. We go camping A LOT. We are tired of the same granola bars for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and hot dogs for dinner. We need more unique foods to try this weekend! At our campsite we can have a fire and we bring a small camping stove. Any recipes we can try? Thanks!

You need to get away from boring foods.

Pack instant brown rice. Chop bok choy, mushrooms, white onion, Pablano pepper, and tender beef rib and stir-fry in East-West Ginger Teriyaki Sauce.

Take pancake mix, powdered milk, powdered or carton egg whites for pancakes topped with your favorite pie fillings.

With a good cooler and ice you can make anything camping that you can make at home. Bring eggs and other items to make omelets. Bring milk and pancake mix, bacon, sausages. Sandwiches and snacks for lunch is OK. Veggies, cheese and crackers.

For dinner, steaks, pork chops, chicken breasts. Get a box of Rice-A-Roni, augratten potatoes, dry noodle dishes that just need water. Add a salad and you have a very good meal.

Can you boil water? Make spaghetti. The sauce comes in a can and for the meat you can use summer sausage, canned beef or whatever strikes your fancy.

Get a copy of the Four Ingredients Cookbook. It has hundreds of tasty, filling and simple recipes - most of them are one-pot meals.
